About Chris Scheler
York, PA rock artist, Chris Scheler, blends the spirit of 90s rockers like Stone Temple Pilots, Live, Candlebox and Nirvana with classic rock influences like Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, all with a modern spin. Fans of Linkin Park, Foo Fighters and Royal Blood have connected with the deep lyrics and charged melodies that Scheler’s sound brings.
Scheler is no stranger to supporting national acts. During his career he has provided support for big-names like Sponge, Bowling for Soup and Misfits. He has played at top clubs in PA such as XL Live, Reverb, Lovedrafts, Tellus360 and the legendary Chameleon Club. Scheler has also performed several times at LAUNCH Festival, sharing the stage with some of PA’s best bands along with some international touring artists.
In 2019, after spending years on the local PA cover band scene, Scheler’s writing underwent a transformation. He traveled to Hollywood, to meet his idols, Robert and Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots at Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy camp. He had the amazing experience of playing with the DeLeos and also Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez of Alice In Chains. What he didn’t expect was to receive some invaluable songwriting and production advice from the camp’s counselors. On the final night of the camp, Scheler joined his camp bandmates and their leader, Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Ozbourne, Whitesnake) for a set at the Sunset Strip’s famous Whisky a Go Go. On the flight home, Scheler compiled his notes and immediately began making plans to level up his music.
Upon his return home, Chris tapped Robin Diaz (Live, Candlebox, Daughtry, Puddle of Mudd) to play drums and connected with GRAMMY-nominated Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio (Everclear, August Burns Red, From Ashes to New) to record, mix and master his new songs. Scheler collaborated with Jason Greenwood (Collinsville Discount Band) and Andrew Fritz (Millennial Mixtape, The Roomates) for some guitar work, adding extra layers of riffs and licks to build on the songs’ foundations.
Up next for Chris Scheler is releasing his new single, Seasons on all digital platforms, August 6, 2026. It’s a guitar-driven pop rock song about the cycle of life's ups and downs. Scheler wrote the song and contributed vocals, guitars and bass. The song was recorded at The Kaleidoscope in Lancaster, PA. The song was engineered, mixed and mastered by The Kaleidoscope’s Jon Smith and Ben Roth, who also layered in some guitar and bass tracks. Drums were performed by Robin Diaz and engineered by Lionel Andre in West Hollywood, CA.
On August 23, Scheler will open for national touring band, Plush, at Capital City Music Hall in Harrisburg, PA. Major Moment and Observe the 93rd are also on the bill. Andrew Fritz, Drew Hall (The Roomates, Dr. Nyce Band) and Scottie Y. will complete Scheler’s live band for the performance.
